StoneBorn Creations Dark Green Serpentine Matching Pair – Hand Polished Natural Stone

This pair has some incredible contrast.

From the outside, this stone was mostly dark gray and completely unassuming. Once cut open, it revealed a deep forest-green to nearly black interior filled with lighter olive-green areas, fine natural veining and one prominent green mineral vein running directly through both halves.

Both cut faces were hand polished while the original weathered exterior was left natural, preserving the transformation from ordinary river-worn stone to the complex geology hidden inside.

This is exactly why I love cutting into stones that don’t necessarily look special from the outside.

The exterior gave almost nothing away, but inside was this incredibly dark green material with lighter mineralization and a vein that travels straight through the stone. Once the two halves are placed together, you can actually follow that feature from one side into the other.

I polished only the exposed faces and kept the rest natural so the finished pair still tells the whole story of what this stone looked like before it was opened.

Energy & Symbolism:

Serpentine has traditionally been associated with grounding, renewal, transformation and a connection with the natural world. Its rich green coloration has also made it symbolic of growth and balance.
