A beautiful hand-polished natural greenstone featuring deep forest greens, subtle blue-green tones, and an incredible contrast between smooth polished surfaces and untouched natural stone.
This unique piece has an upright, asymmetrical shape with a pointed top and flat base, allowing it to stand on its own. The polished faces reveal rich, dark green mineral formations surrounded by lighter gray-green textures, delicate pale veins, and scattered mineral inclusions.
Believed to be a chlorite-rich greenstone or related metamorphic rock, this specimen offers a fascinating look at the geological processes that can transform stone through heat, pressure, and mineral alteration.
What makes this piece especially interesting is the contrast between the smooth, polished sections and the rougher original surface. Portions of the natural exterior were intentionally preserved, allowing both sides of the stone’s character to remain visible.
A one-of-a-kind display piece for rock collectors, geology enthusiasts, or anyone who appreciates the natural beauty hidden within ordinary-looking stones.

The StoneBorn Story:
The deep green coloring was what originally caught my attention with this stone, especially where it meets the lighter, rougher material.
There was quite a bit of natural character already there, so I wanted to keep some of that while bringing out the darker colors underneath.
I shaped it into an upright piece and polished several of the surfaces, leaving portions of the original exterior untouched. As the polishing progressed, those rich green areas became much more noticeable, along with the little mineral veins running throughout.
I especially like the contrast between the polished faces and the natural texture. You can really see how different the stone looks beneath its original surface.
It’s pieces like this that remind me why I enjoy working with rocks in the first place. There’s always something interesting waiting beneath the surface.
Energy & Symbolism:
Greenstone is often symbolically associated with grounding, stability, renewal, and a connection to the natural world.
Its deep green coloring represents growth, balance, and resilience, while the contrast between polished and natural surfaces can serve as a reminder of transformation and the beauty of remaining connected to one’s origins.
For those who appreciate the symbolic qualities of natural stones, this piece offers a connection to the enduring processes that shape the Earth.
These associations reflect traditional symbolism rather than scientifically established effects.
