StoneBorn Creations Greenstone Matched Pair – Polished Cut Faces

One stone, split open to reveal two completely different-looking worlds inside.

This natural greenstone was cut in half and both interior faces were hand polished, creating a matched pair that preserves the original exterior while exposing the deep forest-green interior.

The cut faces are packed with character — dark mineral inclusions scattered throughout the green matrix, lighter contrasting crystals, and thin natural mineral veins running across both halves. Because they came from the same cut, many of those features mirror from one piece to the other.

I left the outside of each half completely natural, giving you that contrast I love between the weathered exterior and the polished geology hidden underneath.

The StoneBorn Story:

This is exactly why I love cutting into stones that don’t necessarily look like much from the outside.

The exterior was fairly muted, but that first cut revealed a completely different stone underneath — deep green, almost black through the center, with mineral inclusions and little veins running in every direction.

Instead of shaping these into something else, I kept both halves intact and polished only the freshly exposed faces. That way you get the best part of the transformation while still being able to flip them over and see exactly what the original stone looked like.

And because these two pieces were once joined together, you’re essentially looking at two mirrored pages of the same geological story.
