StoneBorn Creations Hand-Polished Agatized Coral Freeform with Amber Chalcedony, Orbicular Eyes & UV Fluorescence

This agatized coral started with a rugged, naturally weathered exterior before I transformed one side into a smooth, curved display face by hand.

The polished side reveals rich amber, caramel and reddish-brown chalcedony surrounding creamy white coral formations. Several distinct orbicular “eyes” and preserved coral pockets appear beneath the surface, with delicate pale-blue and white banding weaving between them.

The opposite side remains largely natural, preserving the rough coral texture, cavities and original matrix for a strong contrast between the stone’s raw exterior and polished interior.

Under black light, portions of the specimen also display a subtle greenish fluorescence, adding another hidden feature that becomes visible under ultraviolet light.

The StoneBorn Story:

Every StoneBorn creation begins with seeing the potential hidden inside a rough stone.

Rather than polishing away every trace of its original form, I shaped and polished one side of this piece while preserving the natural coral matrix across the back. The finished result shows both parts of its story—the rugged surface it began with and the colorful internal formations revealed through careful shaping, sanding and polishing.

Each piece is worked individually by hand and allowed to develop into its own natural shape.
