This piece was hand-polished on a flat lap while intentionally preserving its natural curved surface — a process that requires slow hands, constant adjustment, and patience.

Unlike a standard flat polish, maintaining a consistent finish across a curved face is far more demanding. One wrong angle can undo hours of work. I chose to follow the stone’s existing shape rather than force it flat, allowing the natural banding and movement to remain intact.

The result is a smooth, reflective polish that still feels organic — a balance between refinement and restraint.
