This one turned out absolutely incredible after the flat polish process. What began as a rough river stone revealed deep emerald greens, earthy golden edges, and wild natural patterning hidden beneath the surface. The interior almost looks painted, with dark mineral webbing running throughout both halves.

Each face was carefully cut and hand polished on the flat lap to bring out the natural depth and color while still leaving the raw outer edges intact for contrast. The pair has a rugged, organic look that feels straight out of the Vermont landscape.

These are the kinds of pieces that remind me why I love doing this. Every stage of the process slowly uncovered more detail and richer greens.
