StoneBorn Creations Vermont Banded Metamorphic Stream Stone – Natural & Hand Polished

Found along a Vermont stream, this stone had a naturally curved face that was too interesting not to explore. Rather than reshape the entire piece, I followed that existing curve on the flat lap and brought just that section to a polish.

The result leaves most of the stone exactly as it was found while revealing winding olive-green, yellow-green and dark bands beneath the weathered surface. The contrast between the polished window and untouched exterior is what makes this piece for me.

A one-of-a-kind StoneBorn piece that still carries plenty of its original character.

The StoneBorn Story:

StoneBorn Creations started with a simple idea: take stones that catch my attention in nature and uncover what makes each one unique without taking away the character that made me pick it up in the first place.

This piece is a perfect example. Instead of polishing the entire stone, I followed a curve nature had already created and left the rest just as it came from the stream.

Energy & Symbolism:

Green stones are often associated with grounding, balance, renewal and a connection to nature. The contrast between the untouched exterior and polished interior also makes this piece a fitting symbol of discovery—sometimes a small glimpse beneath the surface can completely change what you see.

Energy and symbolism are based on traditional beliefs and are offered for personal enjoyment.
