Found by hand in a Vermont stream and polished individually in the StoneBorn shop, this is one of the larger stones I’ve worked—and there’s a lot going on in it.
The polish brought out layers of mossy and deep green, scattered dark mineral inclusions, pale veins cutting through the surface, and earthy brown areas that give the stone an almost completely different character depending on which side you’re looking at.
Rather than forcing it into a perfect shape, I followed the natural form of the stone and let its original character guide the finished piece. The result is a substantial, one-of-a-kind Vermont stone that still feels very much like something pulled straight from the landscape.

The StoneBorn Story:
Every StoneBorn piece starts with a stone that catches my attention in the wild. I bring it back to the shop and work it one stage at a time, following what the stone gives me rather than trying to make every piece look the same.
This one is a perfect example of why I love doing it. What looked like an interesting green stream stone turned into something with far more color, texture and geologic character once the surface was opened up and polished.
Energy & Symbolism:
Serpentine is traditionally associated with transformation, grounding and connection to the natural world. Its green tones are often connected with renewal and personal growth.
These associations are traditional and symbolic rather than scientific or medical claims.
Shipping:
Carefully packaged and shipped within 1–3 business days.
Each StoneBorn creation is individually found and worked by hand, so the stone pictured is the exact piece you will receive.
