StoneBorn Creations Deep Greenstone Matched Pair – Hand Polished Natural Faces

Sometimes the plainest-looking stones are hiding the best interiors.

This natural greenstone was cut into two matching halves, revealing a beautiful deep green interior completely hidden beneath the dark weathered exterior. I hand polished both cut faces while leaving the outer surfaces untouched, creating a dramatic contrast between the original stone and what was waiting inside.

The polished faces range from muted forest green to extremely dark green, with scattered black mineral inclusions and thin cream-to-white mineral veins cutting through the stone. Around the perimeter, the natural weathering creates an awesome golden-brown border that almost frames the polished interior.

Both halves came from the same stone and are being offered together as a matched pair.

The StoneBorn Story:

This is one of those stones that really shows why I love cutting into the rough ones.

From the outside, both halves still look like fairly ordinary dark, weathered rocks. Flip them around and suddenly you’re looking into this deep green interior surrounded by a natural golden-brown rind.

I kept the shaping to a minimum on these because there really wasn’t anything I wanted to change. The polished faces reveal the color, inclusions and mineral veins, while the untouched backs still show exactly how the stone looked before it was opened.
