A beautiful natural carnelian featuring brilliant shades of fiery orange, deep reddish-orange, and warm amber, with a striking contrast between its polished surface and original natural exterior.
This piece has been carefully shaped and polished to reveal the translucent chalcedony beneath its weathered outer surface. The rich orange coloring comes alive in natural sunlight, while a flashlight reveals an entirely different view of the stone, illuminating its internal patterns, delicate banding, and darker mineral inclusions.
One of the most interesting features is the section of natural reddish matrix preserved along the exterior. Its earthy red coloring and darker mineral markings provide a beautiful contrast against the smooth, glossy carnelian.
The polished areas reveal subtle internal formations, flowing layers of color, and natural inclusions that become especially noticeable when light passes through the stone.
A beautiful addition to any rock and mineral collection, perfect for display on a shelf, desk, or alongside other natural specimens.
Each StoneBorn creation is individually worked by hand, preserving the unique characteristics that make every stone different.

The StoneBorn Story:
Carnelian has always been a favorite of mine to work with, especially when it has this kind of color.
What caught my attention with this piece was the difference between that rough, reddish exterior and the bright orange underneath.
As I worked through the polishing stages, the deeper orange and red tones really started to show. I decided to leave part of the original exterior untouched because I liked how much contrast it added to the finished stone.
But the really interesting part came when I held a flashlight behind it.
The entire stone lit up with these beautiful orange and red colors, revealing little internal formations and darker inclusions that aren’t nearly as noticeable in regular light.
That’s something I really enjoy about carnelian. It can look beautiful sitting on a shelf, but shine a light through it and you get to see an entirely different side of the stone.
I wanted to keep enough of its original character that you could still appreciate what it looked like before the polishing began.
Just another example of how much beauty can be hiding inside a rock.
Energy & Symbolism:
Carnelian has traditionally been associated with creativity, confidence, motivation, and vitality.
Its warm orange and red coloring has long made it a symbol of energy, courage, and personal strength. Throughout history, carnelian has also been used in jewelry, decorative carvings, and ornamental objects for its beautiful color and translucency.
For those who appreciate the symbolic meaning of natural stones, carnelian is often seen as a reminder of passion, determination, and embracing new beginnings.
These associations are based on historical traditions and cultural symbolism rather than scientifically established properties.
