StoneBorn Creations Green Serpentine Matching Pair with Metallic Mineral Inclusions – Hand Polished

This might be one of the more unusual serpentine pairs from this group.

Once cut open, the stone revealed a mix of deep forest green, blue-green and lighter olive tones with reflective metallic mineral inclusions scattered throughout both halves. In certain light those inclusions really catch your eye against the darker green material.

The polished faces also preserve the stone’s natural fractures, veins and irregular mineral pockets, giving each half a ton of geological character.

I hand polished the cut faces while leaving the original weathered exterior untouched. Both matching halves are included as one set.

The StoneBorn Story:

This one surprised me.

The outside gave almost no indication of the color or metallic material hiding underneath. Once I opened it, those deep greens appeared along with reflective mineral inclusions scattered across both halves.

Instead of grinding away all of the irregularities, I worked the faces enough to bring out the color and contrast while leaving the natural pockets, fractures and mineralization visible. To me, that’s what makes pieces like this interesting—you aren’t just looking at a polished stone, you’re still looking at its geology.

And when you flip them over, you can see just how little the original exterior gave away.
