StoneBorn Creations Hand-Polished Lace Agate Freeform with Intricate Fortification Banding, Orbicular Eyes, Natural Matrix & Curved Display Face

This one stopped me in my tracks the moment the polish came alive.

Hand-shaped and polished on one side with a gentle curved face, this lace agate reveals incredibly tight fortification banding flowing around multiple orbicular “eye” formations and a naturally preserved central matrix that tells the story of how this stone formed. Soft whites, smoky grays, subtle blue-gray chalcedony, and earthy natural tones blend together to create a piece that looks completely different from every angle.

The reverse side has been intentionally left untouched, preserving the stone’s natural texture and character exactly as it was found. It’s one of my favorite ways to finish a specimen—showcasing both nature’s raw artistry and the hidden beauty revealed through careful hand polishing.

Every curve, contour, and polish was completed by hand in my Vermont workshop.
