StoneBorn Creations Hand-Polished Vermont Palm Stone – Black, Gold & Olive Webbing

This little Vermont stone turned out way more interesting than I expected.

Under the polish, the dark base opened up into an incredibly fine network of gold, olive-green and rusty mineral patterning. Some areas almost look cracked or webbed under the surface, while others have concentrated patches of color that completely change depending on the angle and light.

I kept its naturally rounded shape and polished the entire stone, bringing out the pattern without taking away what made it interesting in the first place.

This is a perfect example. What started as an unassuming Vermont stone revealed layer after layer of tiny lines, mineral patterns and earthy color once it was worked through the polishing process.

Rather than trying to make nature perfect, I follow what the stone gives me and let its original character remain part of the finished piece.
