StoneBorn Creations – Vermont Brecciated Greenstone / Serpentine

$52.00

This one turned out absolutely wild.

Found here in Vermont, this stone revealed an incredibly dense network of dark natural veins running through blue-green, gray, cream and golden areas as I worked it. Some of the fractures are incredibly fine while others cut straight across the stone, creating an almost map-like pattern that wraps around the entire piece.

Based on its appearance and the geology of the area, this appears to be altered greenstone or serpentinite-associated metamorphic material, with extensive natural mineral veining and areas of iron staining. Without laboratory testing I can’t give it a definitive mineral identification, but whatever its exact story is, there was a lot happening geologically before this stone ever found its way into my hands.

I shaped and polished the entire stone while following its natural form, bringing it to a smooth, high-gloss finish without taking away the character that made me pick it up in the first place.

The StoneBorn Story:

Every StoneBorn piece begins with a stone that catches my attention in the wild. From there, I let the natural shape and geology guide the process rather than trying to turn it into something it was never meant to be.

This is exactly the kind of Vermont stone I love working with. The outside gives you a hint, but it’s not until the grinding and polishing begin that millions of years of fractures, mineral changes and color finally become visible.

No two will ever be quite like this one.

Energy & Symbolism:

Greenstone and serpentine have traditionally been associated with grounding, renewal and connection to the natural world. With its intersecting veins and fractured appearance, this particular piece can also symbolize change—something altered and broken over time becoming part of what makes it beautiful.

Energy and symbolism are shared as traditional interpretations and are not scientific or medical claims.
