A beautiful dark green stone with earthy gold and rust-colored weathering, found here in Vermont and polished by hand while keeping its natural rounded shape.
What really makes this piece interesting is the amount of character throughout the stone. Deep forest greens shift into softer green-gray areas, with natural fractures, mineral-filled lines and a distinct dark vein running across one side. The polish brought all of that detail forward without taking away the rugged look it had when found.
It has a great earthy, almost ancient look in hand and is completely one of a kind.

StoneBorn Creations is about finding ordinary-looking stones in nature and seeing what a little careful work can uncover.
With this one, I wanted to preserve the rounded shape it already had rather than completely reshape it. The polish brought out the greens, weathered gold tones and dark mineral lines that were already part of the stone while still letting it look like something that came straight out of the Vermont landscape.

Green stones are traditionally associated with grounding, balance, renewal and connection to the natural world. Their earthy colors and patterns have also made them symbols of stability and resilience.
