Found here in Vermont, this one is likely a form of serpentine, and the polish brought out an incredible amount of character.
It has everything from pale mint and deep forest green to subtle lavender-gray areas, black mineral inclusions and warmer earthy tones. Natural veins and fractures run throughout the piece, giving every side a completely different look.
I polished the entire stone while keeping its original natural form and as much of its geological character as possible.

The StoneBorn Story:
This is exactly the kind of Vermont find I love working with. It started as a naturally shaped stone collected here in the Green Mountains, and rather than cutting it apart, I followed the form that was already there. Each stage of polishing brought out more of the color, veining and mineral character that wasn’t nearly as obvious before.
Energy & Symbolism:
Serpentine has traditionally been associated with grounding, renewal, connection to nature and personal transformation. For a stone formed through Vermont’s complex geologic history and then reshaped naturally over time, that symbolism feels especially fitting.
Energy and symbolism are based on traditional beliefs and are offered for personal meaning and enjoyment
